Volume two has crack in developing in binding between half-title page and frontispiece. The slip case has wear and rubbing along the edges, mainly on the corners with places where the cardboard beneath is exposed. Some scuffing also to the slipcase. Crack on upper corner of the slipcase. Volume one has 549 pages with footnotes, illustrations, maps, and 10 appendices. Volume two has 464 pages with illustrations, maps, footnotes, 3 appendices, general bibliographic notes, short title index, and index. A classic work on the life of young George Washington up to 1758.
