Wear and rubbing to the edges of the boards with some small holes in the binding along the edges. Bumping to the corners of the panels and to the head and heel of spine with some tiny tears in binding on the head also. Five inch split in binding between front panel and spine starting from the bottom edge. Some tears in bnding developing along the spine near the back cover also. Some scuffing and soiling to the covers. Small bookplate with previous owner's name and address on the front pastedown endpaper. Page edges are foxed and pages themselves are lightly browned. Some darker brown spots, foxing, and stains on pages themselves. 665 pages with few notes, 2 appendices (1. secret correspondence, 2. the Battle of Muskingum or the Defeat of the Burrites).
