No other library marks. Slight wear to edges and covers of boards. 15 p. with blurbs on back cover of pamphlet. A shorter version of an essay originally published in 1910 to some acclaim. Pickens (1881 - 1954) was well educated and an active member of the NAACP as a Field Secretary. He was involved in both the Marcus Garvy and Scottsboro cases. His work here focuses on the importance of race in Lincoln's presidency, Lincoln's change of views regarding African Americans, and Lincoln's efforts to bring others to change as well. Uncommon.
