First free endpaper has some chipping. 227 p. w/ fold out color map, diagrams of different actions, index. The story of the most well known event of the Boxer Rebellion. Oliphant was a British employee of the Chinese Imperial Postal Service, and his brother David was killed in the siege. His record is considered one of the more even handed of the event. Good.
