The life of the naval officer and circumnavigator of Australia Matthew Flinders, who died at the age of 41. He made three exploration voyages to the southern Pacific area and was a good cartographer. He was imprisoned by the French at Mauritius from 1803 - 1809, and his health never recovered. He died before his seminal work A VOYAGE TO TERRA AUSTRALIS was published. Very good / very good.
