Pix wrote over 10 plays for Drury Lane and Lincoln's Inn Fields and this one novel, and was good friends with 2 other women literary figures of the time, Catherine Trotter and Mary Manley. All three were lampooned in a 1697 play called the FEMALE WITS, which also give us the most information we have about her. Uncommon in any edition. Very Good without dust jacket. Item #13639
