No dust jackets issued. #78 (B) of 100, with a B next to the number son each volume. Not sure as to its meaning. SIGNED In red pencil on the limitation bookplate, which reads : "To 100 Choicest Falstaff Connoisseur Collectors, This is #78 B of 100 copies entirely set by hand Containing 12 Original Etchings hand colored by Most Cordially yours, Clara Tice". Purple cloth with gilt lettering and designs on spine, gilt erotic image ala Beardsley on covers. Binding Heels state "Falstaff Press". Spines somewhat faded as is common with this set, but still attractive, Small closed tear at top of frontis on v. 1. Images have no onionskin sheets, so there is some burning to opposite pages. Includes all 12 erotic etchings by Tice and hand colored by her, 6 to each volume. Tice (1888 - 1973) was American avant-garde illustrator and artist and art promoter, known as the bohemian "Queen of Greenwich Village" in New York. She gained much fame when Comstock of the Society for the Suppression of Vice tried to confiscate her works at a well known restaurant. Uncommon. Very good. Item #20217
