Abraham Lincoln
An Oxford M. A.

Portsmouth, UK Portsmouth Times Printing Works, Holbrook & Son Ltd. ca. 1918, though spine s First edition Small pamphlet attractively bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Original brown covers to pamphlet bound in. Only slightly ex-library with a library Civil War collection bookplate on front pastedown endpaper and red stamp with similar information on cover of pamphlet. No other library marks. Slight wear to edges and covers of boards. 27 p. A short biography of Lincoln, drawing parallels with the Allies' fight in WWI and noting America's recent entrance in the war. It is also glaringly wrong regarding the Appomattox surrender in the brief paragraph it has regarding the event. We imagine American History was not his field of study. Very Good Bound pamphlet in hardcover (Item ID: 11196)
