An uncommon abridged version of this famous novel for use in an eary 20th c. university setting, with the largest loss being the part of Brunner, who Thieme (1870-1940) feels is not essential to the story. Includes a detailed introduction at front with the bibliography (both in English) , and notes and a questionnaire in French at end.
