Generic bookplate with Confederate flag and cannon on endpaper. 126 p. w/ small number of illustrations, bibliography, index. A report to the French Court from a Frenchman acting as an agent for medical supplies for the Confederacy. He later served as a military physician in the Franco-Prussian war of 1871. He includes in his report a quick note abotuthe attack of the 54th MA Volunteer Infantry on Fort Wagener, ungenerously and erroneously stating they were driven forward by the bayonets of Federal Troops behind them.
