Illustrated book plate of Karl Kae Knecht (1883 - 1972), a long time editorial cartoonist for the Evansville IN Courier and founding member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. He also helped organize the Circus Fans Association in 1925 and held offices in that organization. 223 p. w/ line illustrations. Kober was a European journalist who also worked with European circuses, and this work looks at the performers and their lives, focusing on Germany.
