Magic as a Performing Art : a Bibliography of Conjuring
Gill, Robert. foreword by Bayard Grimshaw

London & New York Bowker 1976 First edition Octavo (standard size) Slight wear to edges and corners of dj and boards. Slight soiling to top edge of textblock. Some pages have pencil checkmarks next to or circles around entry numbers. 252 p. w/ 1,066 entries and indexes by Subject, author, and title. A dated but still very useful annotated bibliography of over one thousand classic books and pamphlets of magic in English. Includes the noting of actual names when pseudonyms were used, special paragraphs on particular authors important in the field, and pertinent publishing information as well. The author was both a librarian and a performing magician and this certainly helps the book. It is well I already have one or this copy would be on my own reference shelf. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket Hardcover in full cloth (Item ID: 13575)
