483rd Bombardment Group (H) Association 1997 First edition Quarto (oversized). Slight wear to edges and corners of boards. Bottom corners slightly bumped. 306 p. w/ many b&w illus., section on ground crews, index. An uncommon but important oral history of a major bomber group in the US Army Air Force in World War Two. The ground crew section/ribute is also very interesting and often not discussed as much in other works like this. This was the last B-17 group trained in the war, and it flew out of Italy with the 15th Air Force. It also particpated in Soviet shuttle missions. Very good Hardcover w/glossy pictorial boards (Item ID: 16855)
