Claude - Nicolas Ledoux : Architecture and Social Reform at the end of the Ancien Regime
Vidler, Anthony

Cambridge, MA MIT Press 1990 First edition Quarto (oversized). Slight wear to edge and corners of dj and boards. 447 p. w/ many building plans and b&w illus., notes, select bibliography, index. A scholary survey of the life and work of Ledoux, once seen as an example of excess and now looked on as a visionary. The book sets his work in the context of the social and cultural history of France at the time of the Revolution as well. This is currently the best book on Ledoux in English. Very good Hardcover in full cloth (Item ID: 16965)
