Carrington (1880 - 1958) was a member of both the Society for Psychical Research in England and the American Society for Psychical Research at different times and an ardent investigator of Spiritualism his entire life. He is best known perhaps for his 1924 investigation, with Houdini and others of Mina "Margery" Crandon, who he defended while Houdini and others believed her a fraud.
