Covers have heavy wears, tears, and chipping at spine. Edges have chipping and small tears, esp. on front right top corner. Rust at staples, primarily at front. Slight darkening at edges of interior pages. 192 p. w/many illustrations, and a table of contents formatted more like an index. Includes many phototgraphs of US and Spanish ships. Also, important naval and political figures are shown, as well as many scenes of life, work, and training aboard US naval vessels at the turn of the century. Most striking are the photographs of the wreck of the Maine and of her crew before her destruction.
