Name of previous owner on pastedown. 256 pages with 6 very well done woodcuts/illustrations. A novel of the English county of Cumberland. Clare Leighton was a succesful English, later American, illustrator, particularly of woodcuts and engravings as seen here - rural people and rural scenes of American and England.
