Name of previous owner and red stamp with "H" on the front free endpapers of both volumes. Volume II has bumping to the corners of the panels. Volume I has text and catalogue with 295 pages with index, notes, illustrations, 2 appendices (1. Wright's exhibited pictures, 2. paintings of Vesuvius and Girandola), and bibliography. Volume II has 221 pages with the plates. An excellent, scarce work on the art and life of Joseph Wright. Shipping costs would be special for this work because of its size.
