An attractive, larger sized reprint of this important and thorough catalog. Murray (1849 - 1919) was an English art connoiseur, consultant and dealer, as well as being a respected portraitist. His friends included Rosetti, Burne-Jones, William Morris, and Ruskin. His book collection and manuscript collection, put together in just 7 years, began when he retired from art and sold most of the paintings. His collection was sold over a period of 8 years before and after his death, with a good number of the French books being sold in an auction the year before his death. Others were sold privately. Very Good. Item #10965
